Hartland Bone Marrow Drive Was A HUGE Success!

Saturdays drive at Hartland High School was a HUGE success! Thank you Frank Shinkonis for believing in this cause and making it happen.  Thank you to all of the Hartland teachers and educators who helped make this possible and thank you to ALL of YOU who registered.  Someday a life will be SAVED because of YOU!

See the email below for details:

Hartland staff,

82 people are now officially registered and willing to donate bone marrow to someone dying of blood cancer.

Since we raised a decent amount of cash, I talked Michigan Blood into letting me take 11 kits already paid for by us.

6 of them are already spoken for. I have 5 kits left. First come, first serve. Just email me. I will have them Monday and maybe Tuesday at the high school. Once these "take homes" are official, 93 people will be in the database from our drive. I've been told by Michigan Blood that this is a big number.

Hopefully, in the future, you will get another mass email from me about this drive......a saved life! They will contact us if this happens, which is pretty cool.

Thanks everybody....particularly the original 11 people at the high school who stepped up and made me realize this was possible.

Now it's time to get back to other important things in life like March Madness. Go Blue!  (JUST A NOTE FROM TEAM KENDAL KIDZ - GO GREEN!)

Thanks again!
